| Bert Wiersema is a current member of the Executive Board of the Noorderzijlvest Water Authority and has a long track record within the University of Groningen, including as a member of the Executive Board/manager and Board Member (Energy Academy Europe Foundation). At the national level, he was involved with the umbrella organization of the Dutch universities and as a Director of a national Gas and Sustainability platform. Internationally, he was active as Director of Administration at a scientific institute in Rome. Wiersema is an experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated history of working on strategic alliances between industry and knowledge institutes. Additionally, he is a strong business development professional skilled in Higher Education, Education and IT, Innovation Management, International Relations, Energy and Sustainability. In addition, he has considerable experience as a chairman and supervisor on boards of directors and supervisory boards in the public sector. |
